Christine Tsien Silvers, M.D., Ph.D., Amazon Web Services
Dr. Christine “Chris” Tsien Silvers serves as Healthcare Executive Advisor at Amazon Web Services where her role is to help foster innovation at academic medical centers. She earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and her Ph.D. with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She trained at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is board certified in both emergency medicine and clinical informatics. Prior to joining AWS, Dr. Silvers worked clinically as an emergency physician and then served as Chief Medical Officer at two digital health startups. She has published peer-reviewed scientific articles in the areas of AI/ML and has presented her research both nationally and internationally. Additionally, she has published opinion pieces about her medical training experiences as well as a book – Blueprints Clinical Cases in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Silvers is passionate about leveraging technology to improve health.
