Welcome to the Department of Radiation Oncology  at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center

Faculty in the Department of Radiation Oncology provide exceptional, compassionate care to patients at Moncrief Radiation Oncology Center, Parkland Health and Hospital System, University Hospital, St. Paul, University Hospital, Zale Lipshy, and the Simmons Cancer Center.

The mission of the
Department of Radiation Oncology is to:

Moncrief Radiation Oncology Center

Our Clinic • The W.A. Monty & Tex Moncrief Radiation Oncology Building in Dallas serves as the centralized site for all outpatient radiation therapy activities at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The director of the center is Dr. Hak Choy, professor and chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern. A leading authority in the treatment of lung cancer using radiation therapy, Dr. Choy holds the Nancy B. and Jake L. Hamon Distinguished Chair in Therapeutic Oncology Research. He is a recognized leader in the development of new combined chemoradiation therapies for solid tumors.
