UT Southwestern Medical Center offers interpreters for a number of foreign languages, should a patient require them. Patients who are hearing impaired may also receive services from the Language and Translation Services office. Both hospitals also include TDD/TTY telephone devices. 

Medical interpreting for Spanish or other languages is available for patients seven days a week. Services are also on hand to assist visually and hearing-impaired patients and guests. To ensure that an interpreter is available for an outpatient’s physician visit, please notify the clinical practice when making the appointment that the patient will need an interpreter.
