UT Southwestern Medical Center stroke rehabilitation specialists provide effective therapies for patients recovering from strokes. Our staff provides compassionate, individualized rehabilitation therapies that can help ease the symptoms brought about by a stroke.

Regardless of mild or severe symptoms, all individuals who have experienced a stroke can benefit from rehabilitation at UT Southwestern. Patients who have been a part of our program have realized valuable benefits during their stroke rehabilitation, including addressing all of the lifestyle changes that can contribute to an improved sense of well-being.

The Stroke Rehabilitation Program enables patients to participate in activities at work, home and in the community. In addition, vocational therapists provide help with adjustments related to employment, including providing assistance needed to adapt to aspects of a job environment.

At UT Southwestern, our rehabilitation specialists thoroughly discuss with our patients and their families all of the strategies that can be used to experience a greater sense of control over their conditions resulting from a stroke. A dedication to providing expert and compassionate care makes an important difference in our patients’ rehabilitation and changes their outlook on the future.
