The UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Dermatology provides patient care at UT Southwestern, Parkland Memorial Hospital, the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Children’s Healthâ„ . When all patient care responsibilities at these sites are totaled, our Department is responsible for greater than 80,000 ambulatory encounters annually. Learn more about our patient care services.
Our faculty is recognized locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally for its expertise in connective tissue diseases, non-melanoma skin cancer, contact dermatitis, immunobullous diseases, complex medical dermatology, pigmented lesions and melanoma, cutaneous lymphomas, vitiligo, pigment disorders, phototherapy, dermatopathology, pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.
Subspecialty services in these content areas are offered in our clinic in Professional Office Building 2 and are highly subscribed. Two Pediatric Dermatologists on our faculty coordinate numerous ambulatory services at Dallas Children’s Medical Center. Two Dermatopathologists on our faculty coordinate services for UT Southwestern's ambulatory practice, our two University Hospitals, Parkland Memorial Hospital, and Dallas Children’s Medical Center. In addition, we maintain productive professional relationships with Cockerell Laboratories and ProPath Laboratories for expertise and education in dermatopathology.
