Capacity Building Assistance Center

The Capacity Building Assistance Center (CBAC) is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to provide national capacity building assistance to organizations by contributing to the implementation, improvement, evaluation, and sustainability of evidence-based interventions (EBI) to persons living with HIV/AIDS.

CBAC provides assistance to agencies implementing interventions and prevention strategies targeting individuals who are HIV positive by promoting a continuum of services from training to technical assistance.

To learn more about the interventions CBAC provides assistance on, click on the links below:

Requesting Capacity Building Assistance

There are three options to explore when requesting services from any capacity building assistance provider funded by the CDC.

Option 1: Talk with your CDC Project Officer or state health department project monitor.  Many times your project officer or program monitor may be able to assist you with your implementation needs or direct you to a CBA provider that best fits your needs.

Option 2: Request CBA/TA services through the CBA Request Information System (CRIS).  CRIS is a web-based system that assists CDC-funded CBOs and CBA providers, health departments, and project officers to request, track, and evaluate CBA/TA services.  Please visit CRIS or contact your CDC project officer for more information about using CRIS.

Option 3: Contact CBAC directly. Once you have exhausted the previous options, contact CBAC directly and we can advise you on how best to get your CBA need(s) addressed.
